Vaude believes children can never be too young for outdoor activities. The safety of the child plays an important role in positive or negative experiences associated with outdoor activities, so Vaude takes an intelligent approach to detail in it's construction. Sharp pointed edges, screws or metal fasteners do not come in contact with the child or are protected with AZO free and bite resistant pads. There are no detachable objects which could be swallowed. Buckles, belts and security fasteners have undergone extensive testing.

Mom's Thoughts: My favorite feature about this child carrier is the mesh panel that rests on your back. It offers great support and wonderful breathability. My new Osprey backpack had the same feature and I loved it (of course now that we're expecting baby number 4, I think I'll have to trade the backpack for a child carrier). Out of the child carriers we carry, I think I'll choose this one. I love the comfort and was able to get adjusted to fit me in about 30 seconds. It doesn't have the torso adjustability of the Sherpani so if you are shorter or taller than average, it may not work for you. Each of my babies fell asleep in the child carrier, and I feel like the Vaude has a better head support system. The materials that surround baby are extremely soft and well padded.
