Reusch Bracket Ski Gore-Tex Junior

Reusch, the official sponsor of the U.S. ski team makes an excellent glove for junior skiers. The Bracket is made from Heavy Duty Hide + Oxford with a Gore-Tex membrane so it can keep them warm and dry through an entire season of skiing. The Gore-Tex membrane:

The Gore-Tex insert is incorporated between the lining/insulation and the outer fabric of the glove. It is permanently waterproof, yet still allows body moisture to escape as water vapor. This ensures taht your hands will always be warm and dry.

The outer material consists of water-repellent breathable fabric or specially tanned leather. The inside lining ensures that your hands stay warm and comfortable.

The Gore-Tex membrane is extremely thin and light and is manufactured using a complex expansion process. A droplet of water is around 20,000 times larger than each pore in the Gore-Tex membrane - too large to get through. The pores in the membrane are around 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule. This means that water vapor (sweat) can escape easily. If body moisture cannot evaporate quickly, the hands then overheat or cool down rapidly. The Gore-Tex membrtane allows sweat in the form of water vapor to be transported rapidly away from the skin, even during physical exertion, and allows a pleasant climate to be maintained inside the glove.
