Minitec products are designed especially for newborn and under one-year old children. The Reimatec® material that has been used in production is softer and more flexible than the one used for bigger kids’ Reimatec® products. Other functional qualities of Reimatec® are the same – Minitec products are as waterproof, windproof and breathable as other Reimatec® products.

Special attention has been given to making outfits easy to put on. Two long zippers on the front of Minitec overall ensure dressing and undressing is easy and fun for the child. Also the Minitec mittens are easy for those tiny hands to slide in.

Mom's Thoughts: We stumbled across Reima - a Swedish brand- accidentally, but are so glad we did. We felt we had a huge hole in our outerwear line. Something that covered very warm and very dry. My last girl was a tiny thing and I felt she needed extra protection against the bitter cold and wind. I couldn't find anything as great as the Minitec from Reima. It is a one piece snowsuit filled with warm insulation and covered in an indestructable fabric that appears to be 100% waterproof (we dumped a bottle of water on it to test this and it ran off like a river except for one or two beads). The fabric is not so stiff or bulky as to prevent movement. Plus, they have thought of some wonderful details essential in a baby snowsuit.

Full double zippers down the legs to make diaper changing and on/off easy
Rubber straps on the bottom hem to go under the sole of their boot and keep the snowsuit from riding up their legs (the straps are removable in case you don't like them)
butt pads in case they are falling down a lot on slippery snow
reflective dots on front and back (remember how early it gets dark in the winter)
Removable fleece lined hood with a velcro chin strap so it is actually functional and stays on

I'm sure there are many more, but that's what we've found so far.
