If your girls more sporty than frilly, this is a great option for winter outerwear. The upper back, collar and hood are lined with a super plush fleece that is sure to keep her warm. Even the pocket interiors are lined with soft fleece.

Mom's thoughts: Columbia has really started adding some stylish details to their coats. The Snow Chateau has great diamond print trim on the zipper pulls and on the inner lining. I think this coat would be best used in an area that didn't get incredibly cold. It's more substanstial than a shell, and the fabric feels very waterproof. I would think it would be best in a climate that is more rain or mild snow. The patch on the shoulder is a girl in pigtails (and a skirt?) skijumping. Cute, but might be too cute for some of the older girls. I also wish this coat had a removeable, or at least adjustable hood.
